How to reset your UTI PSA login password
Reset your password on the SiOnline portal step by step, plus the four reasons a PSA login fails that have nothing to do with the password at all.
Before you start
- Your SiOnline login ID — the user ID issued at registration, not your PAN
- Access to the registered mobile number and email on your record
- The correct portal. If you are unsure, start from the UTI PSA login page
Passwords get forgotten, and most agents meet this process for exactly that reason.
The reset itself takes about two minutes. The part worth reading is the section after it, because a large share of people who arrive here searching for a password reset do not actually have a password problem.
Reset the password
- Go to the SiOnline portal. You work through the SiOnline portal, which is connected to the UTI portal. You do not log in to UTI directly. If in doubt, start from the UTI PSA login page, which links the portal.
- Use the forgot-password link on the login screen itself.
- Enter your login ID. This is the user ID issued at registration. It is not your PAN, and it is not your email address.
- Follow the reset instructions. The reset goes to the details registered on your record.
- Set a new password. Note the portal’s own rules on length and characters rather than guessing — a rejected password at this stage sometimes restarts the flow.
- Log in once immediately. Do it now, on the machine you actually use day to day. Discovering a problem with a customer waiting is avoidable.
Four things that look like a password problem and are not
This is the section that matters. In our experience most “my PSA login is not working” messages are one of these.
Your wallet balance is too low. You can sign in perfectly well and still be unable to submit an application, because logging in and filing are different things. Each PAN application is deducted from your wallet. If the login screen accepts you and the failure comes later, this is almost certainly it.
You are on the wrong site. You log in to the SiOnline portal, not to UTI. A UTI page will not accept your SiOnline credentials, and that is not a fault with your ID.
Your PSA ID has lapsed. A PSA ID that has not been renewed stops authenticating, and it does not announce itself politely. It presents as a login failure, which sends people to the password reset that will not help.
The portal is down. The SiOnline portal is connected to the UTI portal, and maintenance on either can stop things working, usually overnight. Ask one other agent before spending an hour on your own account.
If the reset never reaches you
The reset goes to the email and mobile on your record. So if it does not arrive:
- Check spam. Genuinely, first.
- Confirm the registered email is still yours. If the address on the record is an old one — a former employer’s, or a provider’s address used during registration — no reset will ever arrive, and the record has to be corrected before anything else will work.
- Confirm the registered mobile is still yours. Same logic.
If either is out of date, that is a record-correction case rather than a password case, and it needs raising through the proper channel. Call us and we will tell you what is involved.
What we can and cannot do
Worth being explicit, because agents sometimes wait for us when they should be acting.
We can check whether your PSA ID is active, whether it has lapsed, and whether something at our end is blocking you.
We cannot retrieve your password. Use the forgot-password link instead. A password a third party could recover is not protecting anything.
Send us your login ID if you need help. Never send a password, to us or to anyone.
Never share your password. Nobody at SiOnline needs it, and no legitimate service will ask. If you need help, send us your agent ID — not your credentials.
